Families that kick together..... Stick Together!
It's rare today to find an activity that allows parents and children to participate together. You would feel out of place if you joined your child's dance class or soccer team. Your child just wouldn't fit in at the local weight lifting gym. As a parent you are an important role model for your children, especially where regular exercise is concerned.
At Freedom TaeKwon-Do, family is important to us. That's why we have a program allowing family members ages 7 and up to train side by side.
This provides your family with:
- Shared goals
- Shared experiences quality time together
- A way to save you time while ensuring that both you and your children get exercise.
- The opportunity to associate with a great group of motivated, like-minded people.
Training together as a family, you can expect to:
- Become more fit, active and energetic;
- Improve your strength, balance and flexibility;
- Learn important self-defense skills to avoid or escape dangerous situations;
- Be challenged by continually differing classes that will motivate you to keep coming regularily.
Our instructors and members make the difference. At Freedom TaeKwon-Do we are more than just a school, we are a family.
Each member of your family will progress at their own pace and capability with our Instructors guiding them, step-by-step, with patience and enthusiasm.

Our Little Eagles program was developed specifically for children ages four through six.
This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as:
- Indomitable spirit
This program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program follows the curriculum of the ITF TaeKwon-Do Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important value system.
Stripes are earned in the same way as the ITF TaeKwon-Do program, with slight modifications in recognition of the preschool ago of the child. Upon graduation from Little Eagles children move into the ITF TaeKwon-Do Family program.
Children's Fitness Tax Credit
The Canadian government allows parents to claim upto $500 in tax credits per year for membership fees paid for each child who are under 16 participating in a physical activity. Be sure you request your tax receipts from your Instructor or front desk staff when paying your monthly fees. This tax credit is not retroactive and is only valid for fees paid after Jan 1, 2007. A great way to use this tax credit is to upgrade to the Black Belt Club or Master Club, and receive even more benefit from your training.
